Originally from upstate New York, Brandon Flanagan started his coaching career as the Director of Tennis at the Tennis Academy at Harvard University, in Boston, MA.. He then moved to South Florida, to take a position at the Delray Beach Tennis Center, where he ran the Junior Program and Summer Camp.

While at the Tennis Center, Brandon also became certified with the NSCA and was a Personal Trainer at Delray’s premier fitness studio. In addition, he interned with Mark Wellington, who has been the fitness trainer to five world ranked #1’s. Brandon was also fortunate enough to conduct clinics with tennis legends like Ivan Lendl, Andy Roddick, Pat Cash, James Blake, Aaron Krickstein, Mark Philippoussis, and Jan-Michael Gambill.

As a junior, Brandon spent significant time training with master coach Steve Smith in Tampa, FL. Among Brandon’s training partners were future Grand Slam Finalists and NCAA Champions. In High School, Brandon went on to become one of the best players in his region—earning a place on Furman University’s Division I team.

At Furman, Brandon played under legendary coach Paul Scarpa, who is the winningest coach in NCAA Division I history. During Brandon’s tenure, the team captured the Southern Conference title in 2006 and were ranked as high as #49 in the country. Brandon graduated from Furman with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science.
