CAMP STATIONS
Technical Instruction & Drills
FM Tennis is an official Great Base Tennis Affiliate. We teach solid fundamentals that are grounded in scientific fact. Players are taught the three parts of EVERY stroke: grip, swing, and body. Over the years, we have demonstrated our ability to transform  local kids from beginners into tournament champions.

Our drills always follow a progression, which enhances our player's ability to "get it and own it." Our teaching philosophy is best summarized as, "it's not what the teacher knows, but what the student learns."

Indoor Fitness & Coordination
Held in St. Joseph's climate controlled Gymnasium, campers will perform a variety of tennis specific exercises and drills. Exercises will include: hand-eye coordination drills, agility ladders, jump-rope, obstacle courses, and core strengthening.

The fitness is challenging indeed, but being indoors will provide a welcome respite from the sun, heat, and humidity.
Competitive Play
At FM Tennis, good sportsmanship is the #1 priority. We believe in being gracious both in victory and defeat.

For younger campers , "competitive play"will consist of tasks where they must work together with fellow campers  to accomplish a common goal. As children get older, it becomes more appropriate for them to learn how to compete against each other.

Depending on age and skill level, concepts taught during competitve play will range from learning how to keep score and make their own line calls to singles strategy, doubles strategy, and mental toughness.
Classroom Session
FM Tennis has a designated air-conditioned classroom on campus with internet access and video projection. Red Ball campers will partake in tennis related art & crafts, while older campers will cover topics such as: tennis IQ, tennis trivia, slow-motion video analysis, chalk-talk strategy sessions, mental toughness, and character building.
